Mosop Constituency is found in Rift Valley and is among the six constituencies of the larger Nandi County, it is constituency number 156 of 290 constituencies according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).The Constituency covers an area of about 601.60.Km.The major economic activities are tea, coffee, maize and animal production for both subsistence and commercial use. The constituency has a poverty index (Poverty Index is determined by head count: percent of individuals below poverty line) of 41.8which is 3.4 lower than the national index and is ranked 138 per contribution to national poverty.
